Thank you! I'm really happy with them; they're probably my favorite project right now. And the Narnia-type one jut sort of happened. I had a different idea in my head, and he changed his mind!
Ah, the magic of four legs. And wire. And a beanbag in the horse-half to help counter the weight of the torso. But the wire helps a bunch. But that's one of the reasons I don't like making doll-type things so much: I can never decide if I want it sitting or standing, and how to accommodate the leg positioning. :[
I hear ya! I just recently found the glory of wires, and been using them in almost everything now XD although I need to find good wires instead of just pipe cleaners. Did you use plastic pellets or sand or something completely different?
Yeah, I've just began working with wire and I finally got the hang of it. It's pretty fun! I use jewelry wire, 16 mm thickness I think...? It's a decent thickness, but thin enough to cut with scissors. I use plastic pellets, they're really nice. And I stitch up a little felt pouch to pour them in so they don't pop through the stitches. Made that mistake once.
